COVID-19 Quarantine

This section covers information relating to the COVID-19 quarantine process for inbound travellers to the Cayman Islands. It is important to note that providing false or misleading information or failing to comply with any of the required quarantine protocols can result in a fine of up to CI$10,000 and/or imprisonment for up to two years.

It is important to follow these restrictions for the entire quarantine period, even if you do not have any symptoms. This will help to protect our community and control any spread of COVID-19.

All inbound travellers are required to undergo pre-arrival PCR or antigen-detecting rapid diagnostic testing by an approved provider no earlier than the day before departure if aged five years or older. Learn more here.

Quarantine exit PCR testing is required for all travellers and their quarantining household occupants.

What's New in Phase 5?

Unvaccinated travellers (age 12 and over) are required to quarantine for 7 days along with all unvaccinated members of their household.

Vaccinated household members are not required to quarantine but will be required to undergo a daily LFT if they want to leave the premises.

Required for travellers and their quarantine companions age 10 and older who quarantine at an approved private residence.

Approved private residences or other tourist accommodations

All quarantining travellers and their companions are subject to Travel Cayman welfare phone calls and physical checks.

Quarantine is not required for:

Fully vaccinated travellers.
Caymanians/Permanent Residents who were fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine (locally or overseas).
Unvaccinated children age 11 and younger who are assuming the vaccinated status of their adult travel companions.

Process

Travellers exempt from quarantine must complete a Travel Declaration through the Travel Cayman Portal. To learn more click here.

Screening/Testing

No post-arrival testing is required. However, travellers testing positive using LFT will be required to have a PCR test administered at the next available testing time and immediately isolate.
